URL

URL Parser and Inspector

Break an absolute URL into scheme, host, port, path, query entries, and fragment.

How this tool works

The browser URL parser normalizes internationalized hostnames and percent-encoded components. Repeated query names remain separate entries so order and multiplicity are visible.

Relative references need an explicit base URL. Embedded username/password values are never shown in the report.

Examples

  • Inspect repeated ?tag values.
  • Resolve a relative URL against a base.
  • Spot credentials embedded in a URL.

Common use cases

Diagnose unexpected query values in a callback URL.

Worked synthetic example

Valid example

https://example.test/orders?tag=a&tag=b

Expected: Host example.test; path /orders; two tag entries. Repeated query keys remain separate values.

Failure or warning to recognize

Invalid/failure example

Relative /orders without a base URL.

Expected: A relative /orders reference without a base URL reports a parse error; add an explicit base.
