JSON

JSON to JSON Schema

Generate an editable schema starting point from representative JSON data.

How this tool works

The tool infers primitive types, object properties, nested arrays, and null unions. A property is required when every observed object at that shape contains it.

A sample cannot reveal unobserved constraints, formats, ranges, permissions, or domain rules. Validate and refine the schema before use.

Examples

  • Infer an object with required and optional members.
  • Generate item rules from an array.
  • Review a string-or-null type.

Common use cases

Draft structural checks for a newly captured sample.

Worked synthetic example

Valid example

{"quantity":1,"tag":null}

Expected: Object properties for integer quantity and null tag. The draft describes observed types, without inventing quantity bounds.

Failure or warning to recognize

Warning / interpretation

A sample with quantity 1 cannot establish the application's minimum or maximum.

Expected: A quantity of 1 yields a schema without an application minimum or maximum; add those constraints from the contract.
