GraphQL

GraphQL Operation Analyzer

Turn a GraphQL document into a reviewable operation report without contacting an endpoint.

How this tool works

The report separates operation types, names, variable names, directly selected root fields, and fragment spreads. Anonymous and duplicate operation names become explicit findings.

This is document analysis, not schema-aware validation. Fields inside nested fragments need separate review and runtime behavior requires API tests.

Examples

  • Inventory query and mutation operations.
  • Find duplicate operation names.
  • Review variable and fragment usage.

Common use cases

Review operation names in a client bundle.

Worked synthetic example

Valid example

query Orders { orders { id } }

Expected: One named query; root field orders. The report lists directly selected root fields without contacting a server.

Failure or warning to recognize

Warning / interpretation

query A { viewer { id } } query A { orders { id } }

Expected: Two operations named A produce a duplicate-name finding in the report; schema validity and execution remain untested.
